Following guest shows on NTS and Radio Bonita, Philadelphia based artist and producer Kat Nzingha joins TT to present their debut EP, Angeltribe.

After releasing the EP Angeltribe on TT Label in 2020, Kat Nzingha releases their first vinyl 7” record with Toothgrinder Press with only 20 copies for purchase.

Vorphic Skin resonates from the idea of metamorphosis as transformation, and mutation as a modification. They activate the deconstruction of the internal human body and its process through industrial sonic textures.

After releasing an EP, "Angeltribe" on London label TT in 2020, and "Vorphic Skin" on Toothgrinder Press in 2023, Kat Nzingha's debut album "Grind" will be released on AngeltribeXTL in May of 2023. Based in Philadelphia, Kat Nzingha is a multidisciplinary artist that explores experimentations with abstruse textures. By combining their sculptural works with heavy low-end frequencies and celebratory tones they create blissfully cryptic sonic materials that are the extended bodies of modified objects of which they consistently fabricate. "Grind" conjures the spirit of the sculptural entity that is physically attached to Nzingha's body as seen on the album art. The sculpted spirit is manifested through the sonic form of convulsing kicks, metallic percussion, and hyper-processed textures.

BRYYA is a genre of music created by artist Kat Nzingha, exploring the restructuring of formless sonic materials into metamorphic affect.
